Re: Samantha (Mrs. J.B.) Shrigley
Hi Cherylynn, I've wanted to talk to you for awhile now. We went to Dunnville about a year ago. While there a few ladies were sorting 2 bags of photos from the Lynburner Family. They showed me a school or church picture. Nellie Burk was one of the children, I know she was Sylvestor's daughter. Also Cora McCollum Abraham's daughter. There was a Norman Burk and Edith Burk. Do you know about them. I thought about you when I saw all the photos. I know you would like a picture of Wm. T.. You never know. There may be one of him. We had to leave and haven't been back. When I found out about Adelia (Durham) Burk's family, I found that her two sisters were Hannah McCollum(John) and Jerusha McCollum(Peter R.). Two sisters married two brothers. They were the sons of Daniel McCollum and Catherine Snyder. I found that Abraham McCollum was also their brother. Abraham's wife was Jemima Will. I believe Mary Hope and Jemima were sisters. I found Philip McCollum another brother and his wife was Hannah Will.Maybe another sister. I found a Joseph Durham who I believe is Adelia's brother. His wife was Eunice Will. She was widowed and with Abraham and Jemima in the 1881 census. I think they would have to be sisters. Eunice widowed in the 1871 census was with Hannah and Philip McCollum.I wonder if we will ever find Wm's first wife. I Know I have little to base this on but sometimes I wonder if his wife could have been a McCollum. Daniel McCollum had property near Thomas Burk On the 1811 map of Caistor(conc 1) and then later in conc V1 Caistor. Two of Daniel's daughters were Mary Ann about 1813 and Mary about 1816. When I told you I found George had property in Pelham, you thought the property was Wm's, and maybe his wife was from Pelham. I copied the deed of the property and I believe Wm helped George with the mortgage. I can send you the deed. If you no longer have our email let me know.Hope to hear from you. If you are busy, after Christmas would be great.Karen

Re: Samantha (Mrs. J.B.) Shrigley
This morning's mail brought us the treasure of Samantha Shrigley, the poems you were kind enough to send to us. What a wonderful Christmas present and, believe me, so much appreciated.
I very much enjoyed her "A Biographical Sketch". We have an Archive of Reilly/O'Reilly material based in British Columbia. That is where Samantha's poems will be housed. There is a good chance that one day when research seems to have gone as far as it can, the Archive will be deposited in some depository here in Ontario for safe keeping.
I do Thank You very much for your generous contribution to our Archive. Do tell your husband we appreciate his efforts on our behalf.
Respectfully Yours, Leone Hinds

Re: Samantha (Mrs. J.B.) Shrigley
Thank you for your recent post. It is GREAT to meet a member of the family. Our interest in Samantha Shrigley, poet and very interesting person, is because of her connection to the Reilly/O'Reilly family. The Reilly Archive goes back to 1783 when the first family arrived in what is now Ontario. We would be very interested in the addition of you and your Shrigley grandparents (with their family)to this 'work in progress' if you wish to add a family history to our Archive. Some people wish to be included, others not so much, but we invite any family who can show their connection to become a part of it. Our Archivist (at last look) had over 360 pages of persons, places and stories of this Pioneer Ontario Family. Very good to hear from you. Thank you for your post LH
