I have come accross the following material. I don't think we are talking about the same Delbert Young but thought I would forward this info anyways.
My Grandmother was Mary Ann Young, born l888 in Chalk River, Ontario. She had a brother, Delbert Young born 1906. In 1907 he moved to Ribstone, Alta with his parents. He went to Camrose Normal School after finishing High School. He took over the family farm in Ribstone, Alta. In l946 he married Phyllis Collier, they had no childen. They moved to Edmonton, Alta and he retired in l956 as he was in poor health. He had been writing short stoies and having them published in magazines. After retiring he wrote full time. He received the Bever Award twice. His books were,
Mutiny on the Hudson By, The Mounties, The Last Voyage to Hakulyt Delbert passed away in l975.
I am not sure if we are talking about the same D. Young.
