Researching members of the COOK/COOKE families on Manitoulin Island. The COOK(E)s lived around the west side of the Island (I believe). My direct connection is to the COOK(E)s born on Sheshegwaning in the late 1800's 'til 1920's. Would love to hear from ANYONE with Manitoulin COOK(E) connections. Also researching CADA (and all of its variant spellings), SAMPSON and NIGONIWINA (and all of its variant spellings). Please feel free to email me directly if you choose.
Thanks

The family of David Edward Sampson/Samson and Nancy Cada is on Rootsweb. Hope this helps. Cindy-Lou (Volunteer Researcher for Manitoulin Family Trees)MFT

I think my grandfather lived in the area at the end of that time frame in honora bay. My father Len Cooke was born there in1931, and he had n older bother who died in the war. Details are a little scarce, just relying on my fathers memories.
