Alexander Gilmore is my 3rd great grandfather. After looking through the information on this thread, I believe he is the Alexander Gilmore listed as a child of William and Abigail. My search for his family has been difficult as he died about the same time his daughter Cora left for Michigan. His wife and the youngest children followed soon after.
I would like to share my tree with all of you on this thread. My email is abblumreich@comcast.net, if you send me an email I will gladly give you access. I would appreciate having access to other trees as I live in Michigan and cannot possibly travel to all the places described in your posts. My mother and I are visiting the cemetary in Carsonville, Michigan this weekend where some of the family is buried. I will post pics next week.
Thanks for the info already provided and any you can pass on in the future!

Hi Donna,
I'm replying to this post because it's the only way I know of to contact you because I lost you e-mail address. I was wondering if you might have found any more info on William Henry Gilmore. In my research I have found two William H. Gilmore's both born 1799. You claim that your Wm. Henry was married to Abigail Smith. The other one was maried to Anna Nunn and they followed my line of Gilmores to Bayham, Elgin Co., Ont. before my coming to Michigan in 1853. At first I thought the lady's were 1st and second wife's. Now I'm convinced that there were two seperate William Henry's and now I have to figure out who belongs to my Benjamin Gilmore and Anna Disher.

I am also researching this William Gilmore who was married to Anna Nunn. Two of his sons, Thomas and Reuben are my great great Grandfathers. My grand parents were 2nd cousins.
