Surnames: Gregory, Vanderburgh, Tinlin
Hello All,

I'm looking for any information on the GREGORY and TINLIN families of Louth Twp. in Lincoln County.

In particular the family of Daniel GREGORY and Anna TINLIN.
Daniel and Anna appear in the 1851 census for Louth Twp.

The GREGORY's in my line were in Westminster Twp. in Middlesex County (Eli GREGORY, Alson GREGORY) and I suspect these folks are related to the Louth line. I have found a marriage registration for a Philip E. GREGORY (living in Westminster Twp.) whose parents were Anna & Daniel GREGORY.
I would like to confirm the Westminster & Louth connection.

I would also very much like to know from where in New York state these families originated from.

I'm also looking for anyone researching the VANDERBURGH's of Thorold Twp. in Welland County to share information with.

Thanks kindly,

Joe Kuchta

Surnames: HAINER, VOLLICK, FOLLICK, VAN VALKENBURG
Sarah Hainer wife of John Tinline, was b 22 November 1801 to Richard/Derrick Hainer and wife Annatje Vollick. Annatje was the sister of my direct ancestor, Cornelius VOLLICK. Cornelius and his father Isaac were Loyalists who fought in Butler's Rangers.

Annatje Vollick's sister, Catharina Vollick married Albert Hainer so the families are very intertwined.

For more on the VOLLICKs who descend from Isaac the Loyalist (Born a Van Valkenburg, changed his name to Vollick) see my pages at

Hi,
I am wondering if you know when Clarinda Gregory, wife of Barnabas, died? She is still alive in 1871 but that is the last census she appears in.
Many thanks
Jim
