Ontario Haneys

Has anyone put together a website on the Ontario Haney clan? If not, I think I would like to do so, but if it has been done, I don't want to duplicate efforts.

Does anyone know?

Dear Barbara,

My name is Randall L. Pouwels, and my mother was Claire Faye Haney. My grandfather, Wilbert Solon Haney, was born in Ontario in 1876, and ran away from home sometime between 1891 and 1901, eventually settling in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1904, he married my grandmother, Elizabeth Francart. Recently, I began researching my ancestry, and have nearly completed my research on the Ontario Haneys. When completed, I will be happy to share my information with you.

How much have you done on the Ontario Haneys?

Take care,
Randall Pouwels

A little bit. I've been on the trail since the 1990s on and off. So you are of the John Slough Line and a double cousin to me. I worked on that, my dear cousin, a long time ago.

I have it back further, but this will get you through a few days of typing on the Chamber side.

On the Haney side, you are of the Ebenezer line #18. let me know if you want cousin contact. Ebenezer's line sort of got tossed about. Have you found in the 1842 Census yet?

My mother was Eleanor Forence Haney (born in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada). If you go my tree - "Inkster Family Tree", you'll find a slew of "Ontario Haney's" there (along with lots of photos and documents). At the moment I'm trying to find a clue for the John Haney-Ellen Lowry immigration to Canada from Ireland in about 1835. If you (or anyone who happens to read this)have any hints, I'd love to get them.

Hello there, I was trying to send you a private message this evening and it does not seem to be working.
I have noticed that you are some how connected to the Haney Line.
I am as well a descendant William Haney & Margaret Moore
John Heaney & Ellen Lowry.
Maybe we could compare notes & documents.
Hope to hear from you soon :)
Heather

John Haney/Heaney & Ellen Lowry were my 2nd great grandparents (maternal side). Unfortunately, I have not been able to go back farther than that. If you have any information (Ireland) I would love to hear from you (or from anyone who might see this post).

I am Janet Inkster (mother was Eleanor Florence Haney). I don't know what's wrong with the message board. My tree is the "Inkster Family Tree". I have quite a number of Haney's there. My email is jeinkster@sbcglobal.net.

Barbara, most of the Haney's in my tree have first settled in Southern Ontario and then made their way out to Manitoba Canada.

Good I am glad I am not the only one having this problem.

I think that you have to be invited to view the trees.
I am sending you both an email with invitation.
I do not subscribe to Ancestry, and do take advantage of the free weeks.

Hi,

I sent a tree invite as well. It is good to be able to compare notes! Even if our lines connect, it is good to know who the other folks are so you don't get involved in claiming someone that isn't yours...and if you do get any information on them it is nice to know where to share it to the family to which it belongs!
