I'm trying to establsh the parents of Tillman Hill ~1820-1910 from the Grimsby area. He was married to Jane Ann Perkins. His mother's maiden name was Culp. I have many reasons to believe that Abraham Hill and Azuba (Margaret) Culp were his parents but I need some kind of confirmation i.e. Abraham's will, family bible, etc.
If anyone has any info or ideas on this branch of the Hill family please contact me. brucesmurray@hotmail.com

on the Grimsby Township Council as one of two Assessors in
1798 and 1799 and as Collector in 1804 and he was elected
a Member of Parliament in 1803.
Among 12 or more children listed is:
Abraham Hill, b. 1787 md. Azubah Culp l Sept.1811. They lived on Lot 3 Conc. l Clinton. Abraham & Azubah are buried in the Presbyterian Churchyard, Smithville.
Culp Family History is in Vol.4.

Helen:

Thank you for all the great information. Israel was my grandfather. He married Augusta Gouda after divorcing her sister (name unknown to me) with whom he had 3 children.(Sadie, Chuck and Ed) They then had 6 children together (Myrtle, Violet, Inez, Jim, Virgina and my father, Peter) Israel died Novemberf 12, 1938 at age 68 at his home in Palmyra after suffering a heart attack. I have more information regarding that portion of the family. E-mail me if you're interested and it may be easier to exchange info that way. I just recently located a photoof Israel and some other relatives whose identity is unknown unfortuantely.
