In looking through the Register Report for William Pringle, I noticed you have:
8. Joseph Pringle-5 (Joel-4, Joel-3, Joseph-2, William-1) was born in 1756 in Skeensborough,
Whitehall, New York. He died on 02 Oct 1833 in Richmond, Lennox & Addington, Canada.
Mary Springsteen.
Joseph Pringle and Mary Springsteen were married on 14 Feb 1779 in Dutch Reform Church Albany.

He actually died on 22 Sept 1833 as reported in the Christian Guardian in the October 30, 1833 issue.
"At Richmond, near Napanee, on the 22nd ultimo, Joseph Pringle, Esquire, Age 77 yrs. 5 mo. Mr. Pringle was one of the first settlers of this district and was for many years a Justice of the Peace and an Officer of the Militia...."

Applicaton, by his son John Pringle in May 1834, for Joseph's Revolutionary Army Pension (he served 3 years in the 3rd New York Regiment) also states that his death occurred on the 22nd September 1833. His heirs, John, Joseph, Richard, Simeon, William, David B. Pringle and Lois Windover, received 306.00 on 14 April 1841.

Most of my early Pringle information was copied from "A Record of the Lineal Descent of Jennie Alice Pringle from Joseph Pringle, United Empire Loyalist and William Prindle (Pringle) New Haven, Conn."

Jennie was born on the family farm west of Selby, Ontario, daughter of Sidney Pringle and Edith Deline. She travelled extensively researching the Pringle family.

For what it is worth, she writes the following about William Prindle:
Our ancestor in America, William Prindle as he appears in New Haven records, was first mentioned in 1653 when he was referred to as "the Scotchman at Mr. Allerton's". At that time young men in the colony were required to live with householders and it was in the home of Issac Allerton, a man who had acquired great wealth after arriving on the Mayflower in 1620 and acting as business manager for the colony, that William lived.
By 1654, William had acquired sufficient property to be able to take the Oath of Allegiance to the New Haven Jurisdiction and the following year he married Mary Bronson, widow of Nicolas Desborough and they settled down in New Haven, Connecticut and proceeded to raise eleven children.

She lists William as being born 1630 in Scotland but does not list any source for this date. Do you have a source for your date of "31 Jul 1638 in Stow Scotland"?
