Peter Young on 1808 Assessment
At one time I found the 1808 assessment for North Fredericksburg, in particular, Peter Young. Now I have misplaced it. Does anyone know where I would find it?

Re: William Young and Sarah Anne Tyner
Hello Saw your post regarding William Young and Sarah Anne Tyner and I can help you to a certain extent. William Young was my great grandmother Tyner's oldest brother, her name was Isabelle Young affectionately known as Isabyer and she married my great grandfather Richard Tyner in 1855.Sarah Anne Tyner was my great grandfather Richard Tyner's first cousin. William was the son of George and Isabelle Young(nee Johnston). His siblings were Isabelle, Esther, John, Eliza, James and another sister whose name is unknown by me at this time. Williams father George was the son of Henry and Nancy Young(nee Dyre) There is always dissention about who George was and who he married and when he died but after careful research there were two George Young , one resided in Hallowell township in Prince Edward Co., married Polly Platt and died at an early age and one in south Fredricksburg township, Lennox and Addington Co. who married Isabelle Johnston. The latter is our relative. Williams mother was Isabelle Johnston of Ernestown township daughter of Daniel and Zebiah Johnston nee Shorey. You can get the family history of these folks from genforum the web site of the latter day saints/mormons. The families of Johnston and Shorey are both UEL and the archives at Adolphustown may be able to help you. I'm sorry I can't tell you more about William and his children but you can try the archives in Napanee as it is the county of Lennox and Addington history site. Keep in touch if any of this info has been helpful Best regards Laura Tyner-Clement

Col. Henry Young & Maria Lisjer
You say that William Young is the son of George Young, the son of Henry Young and Nancy Dyre then later mention that there were two George Youngs, one in Prince Edward Co. and one in Lennox & Addington Co. This William Young is NOT a descendant of the Prince Edward Co. Youngs as you describe. Their line went Col. Henry Young & Maria Lisjer Henry Young Jr. & Nancy Dyre/Dyer George Young 1800-1821 & Mary "Polly" Platt
George Young died at age 21 leaving only one child, George Young Jr. 1821-1910 Mary Platt remarried to Thomas Levi Bowerman in 1826. George Young Sr. had a brother William b. 1808 d. 1886 who m. Mary E. Lyons and resided in Athol, Pr. Edward Co. George Young Sr's brother Richard had a son William b. 1831 in Pr. Edward m. Sarah Clark and was in Picton in 1901.
Henry Young Jr's brother, Daniel, had a son William b. 1795 in Pr. Edward d. 1849 and m. Margaret Stinson.
That covers all the relevant Youngs in Prince Edward County Henry Young-Maria Lisjer line and does not include William Young who m. Isabelle Johnston. If you can find Peter Johnston, the genealogist of the United Empire Loyalist Association, he has knowledge of your Young line and wrote an article called "Too Many Henry Youngs".

Re: George Young and Polly Platt
My George and Henry Young did not come from Prince Edward Co. If you read my posting I said my Youngs came from South Fredricksburg township in Lennox and Addington Co. They are not descended from George and Polly(nee Platt) because as I said Polly's husband George died at an early age. Best regards Laura

Re: Henry Young and Nancy Dyre
You stated: "Williams father George was the son of Henry and Nancy Young(nee Dyre) There is always dissention about who George was and who he married and when he died but after careful research there were two George Young , one resided in Hallowell township in Prince Edward Co., married Polly Platt and died at an early age and one in south Fredricksburg township, Lennox and Addington Co. who married Isabelle Johnston. The latter is our relative." I am saying that your William was NOT the grandson of Henry Young and Nancy Dyre - they are Prince Edward Co. Youngs. I hope this clears it up for you. My interest is not in having the two lines confused more than they are now.
