Is there someone who is working on L & A County (Ontario, Canada) Scott's? My message here is about the children and grand-children of 1755 Thaddeus Scott and 1762 Sarah Babcock....

Does anyone have names of any children for Abel Scott (son of Thaddeus and Sarah) and his wife Hannah Bell?

Does anyone know if Rachel Scott (daughter of Thaddeus and Sarah) and her husband Stephen Brown had children other than their daughter Sarah Brown who married Wing Kelly Wallbridge?

Did anyone ever determine whose son Truman Scott was for sure?

I just found a William Scott married to an Amarilla in 1851 and 1861 Camden East census yesterday with eight children that I know of- and thought it odd because they were younger than William Scott son of Thaddeus and Sarah B. who was married to Amarilla Hawley, so did some checking on them yesterday- it appears that several of these family members, perhaps all, moved elsewhere in Ontario after the 1861 census and then were in Michigan by 1870 or so.

I found the sons in Gratiot County, Michigan and wonder if the daughters were married and living there as well? Rick Lander posts that the father, William Scott born about 1813, died in Lambton County, Ontario in 1865. I don't know what happened to Amarilla his wife, whose maiden name was Moore. Did she die in Ontario, Canada as well or did she move to Michigan with her children?

This William Scott must be the son of one of the Camden East Scott's and because of his age, could he be the son of Abel Scott and Hannah Bell? I am stuck on figuring out whose son he was. Was Samuel Scott only married once (to Hannah Brower)? Samuel was born 1787 so could have had children starting about 1807 if he was married to someone else before Hannah.....

Stephen Scott born 1841 married Eleanor J. Fralick in 1864, daughter of Isaac Fralick and Brittania Jane Brown, lived in Gratiot County, Michigan in 1880.

Minerva Scott born 1843 married Thaddeus Perry in 1861, lived at Wheeler, Gratiot County, Michigan in 1880- Thaddeus Perry was the son of Bowen Aylesworth Perry & Hannah Scott: Hannah the daughter of Thaddeus Scott & Sarah Babcock.

Emeline Scott born 1844, no further info

Amos Scott born 1848 married Melissa Fralick in 1871 daughter of Isaac Fralick and Brittania Jane Brown, and sister of Eleanor J. Fralick Scott above. Also lived at Gratiot County, Michigan in 1880.

Almira Scott born 1850-1852, no further info

John Scott born 1854 married to Adaline A. ? lived at Bethany, Gratiot County, Michigan in 1880.

Albert Scott born 1858, was single and living with brother Amos in Gratiot County, Michigan in 1880.

I would appreciate help with the Thaddeus Scott line- if you read other messages I have posted, you will see that I have been trying to figure out the parents for several Scott's who lived in Sheffield, Ontario and then Kennebec; they were all born in the 1820's and 1830's.

I have worked on file of Cornelius James Scott this week, he was born 1824, son of Samuel Scott and Hannah Brower- he went by James Scott, was married 3 times, had at least 8 children, some by each wife- one of his daughters was Clarissa Scott born November 12, 1846 who married Walter Castiday Junior, and I did a fair bit of work this week on the Castiday family.

Walter Castiday Jr. was the son of Walter Castiday Senior and his wife Hannah Hawley, who I believe is the daughter of Joseph William Hawley and Mary Perry of North Fredericksburgh, Ontario. (Joseph William Hawley was the son of Martin Hawley and Amy Rogers, while Mary Perry was the daughter of Robert Perry UEL and Jemima Gary Washburn).

Anyone with new or additional info, please let me know?
