Hello,
I am looking for information on a Mrs Agnes FIUCHUK, of two known residences in Carleton Place, Lanark County, Ontario.
This is all I know:
Voters List 1957: on Charlotte Street as a Mrs and “housewife” but no husband in sight
Voters List 1968: Mrs Agnes FIUCHUK, now a widow, is boarding with Miss Erma Roe at 66 Queen Street North
Who was she married to? Where was her husband? Where were they from? Did they have children? What happened to her? Where is she buried?
Any clues you might be able to provide will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Lise

Re: Mrs Agnes FIUCHUK, ONT
Thanks Ell!
The Mr and Mrs Geo seem to re-appear and stay in Vancouver, he as a welder, if it's the same couple as the Canmore miner... which means the Mrs was not in my area here.
The Minnesota Geo (d. 1950) is a possibility, but my Mrs Agnes is listed as married (not widowed) in 1957. This however could easily be an error.
Thanks for your help! Much appreciated!

Oh my! I am following up on your info... did your grandmother initially marry a Henry (Harry) Echlin? This is what I am finding... I am however afraid to lose contact with you, since you are on free access. If you go to my profile, I believe you should be able to email me, and we can continue this conversation by email!
If we are talking about the same woman, your grandmother lived her last days at the Stoneridge Manor in Carleton Place (she was there in 1972 as Agnes Fuichuk) and may be the Agnes Echlin buried in Hopetown, Lanark County (1973). Her first husband, Harry/Henry Echlin died 12 April 1936. I now have to find this Dennis Fuichuk you mention. Do you have a marriage certificate for them? (The date of her remarriage is oddly the day before Harry's death.)
