I really do not have proof that Isaac and Antoine are brothers and sons of John and Mary. Just a sixth sense.
But,in the 1851 Ontario Census both John and Antoine lived in Northumberland Co., District Murray before John moved back to Leed Co., Yonge in 1861 when he lived with Isaac and Elizabeth.
From 1839 to 1848 John was listed in the Yonge Census records as head of house, along with Isaac, Joseph and Edward.
I have not been able to find the parents of Joseph Compo,
Antoine Compo, Isaac Compo, Edward Compo or Louis Compo. I believe that they are all the sons of John and Mary Compo.
All of these Compos were born in Quebec and are possibly the sons of Jean Baptiste Campeau and Marie Cecilia St Germain and when they moved to Ontario changed their names to John and Mary Compo.
What are your thoughts on this?
