Hi, I am looking for information on the Emerson family from Carleton Place, Lanark, Ontario. Here is the family:
James Emerson, b. 14 Feb 1864
Charlotte (Emerson), b. 23 Apr 1869 (possibly 1868)
Eric James Emerson, b. 2 Apr 1890
Clarence M Emerson, b. 13/23 Oct 1897/6 (enlisted WWI)
Dawson Emerson, b. 13 Oct 1898 (enlisted WWI)
William Emerson, b. 12 Sep 1899

The two who fought in WWI were members of the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force.

Mr Joseph Emerson passed away at his home on Bolton St, Thursday May 22nd. Deceased was 84 years of age and a son of the late John Emerson and Mary Ann Willis and was born on the old Matheson farm on the Perth-Smiths Falls road. He married Miss Margaret Barrie and the union were born two children, the late Mr George B Emerson and Mrs Frank (Bella) Samways also deceased. Mrs Emerson predeceased her husband on October 22 1907. Deceased is survived by five sisters, Mrs David Campbell, Rideau Ferry; Mrs Daniel McCann, Smiths Falls; Mrs John Stewart, Rochester N Y; Mrs Chas Cain, Watertown, N Y; Mrs Sydney Kean, Chemont, N Y and two brothers Messrs James Emerson, Carleton Place and George Emerson, of Rochester N Y. Two bros Messrs John, Perth and Christopher, Almonte predeceased. Funeral Saturday to Elmwood Cem.

They were still living in Carleton Place when Clarence and Dawson enlisted in the War.
I can't find Eric on 1911 census.
I do not see any marriages or deaths for them on Ancestry.ca
Did they move west after 1916? They must have moved somewhere as they had lived in Lanark all their lives but didn't die there that I can find except for Earl.
Alberta's Vital Statistics are not on-line. Try leaving this message on the Alberta message site with information that Eric James was in Calgary in 1954.

William Emerson (my great-Grandfather) died in Ottawa in 1957:

His obit mentions he is survived by Clarence and Clyde in Carleton Place, while Dawson is in Capreol in 1957. No mention of Eric.

I've just barely started my search, any further info yo've found would be much appreciated!
