Phillip was the son of James Kelly and Bridget Walsh - Welch. Have been trying find out what happened to Philip and Louisa. Have nothing on them after the marriage. If you've run across them, would appreciate any info.

Hi
This was a different Louisa Plonkey. She was born March 17, 1884, probably in Wallaceburg. Daughter of Frank (Francois) Xavier Plonkey (Plantier) and Philomene Demers, one of 10 children.
Thank you for your quick response to my posting! If you run across my Louisa or Kelly 's, please let me know.

This is the correct line. I still don't know what happened to Philip Kelley, any one in your family know what happened to him?
I have the Plonkey's and Ward's in the census' and some other data.

Hi, I'm new to this post. My Great Grandmother was Rose Plonkey. My Grandfather was Judd Ward, son of Rose and Jesse Ward. I am interested in knowing more about the Plonkey family. My mother, Patricia Ward Rehahn, d/o Judd Ward & Eleanor Smith, tells me that she had Indian Heritage, but no Indian Heritage showed up in my DNA analysis. Do you happen to know if she was Indian? I am from Detroit, Michigan. I am just learning about my heritage and this is a puzzling piece to most of the Ward family.

This does not answer your question as to Native American Heritage as it will take a substantial amount of research.
The upside, Rose's pedigree going back to the 1600s

Looking through the data, you are a distant cousin (8th & 5th) of mine..

As for the genetic testing the traces become obscured for generations beyond a certain point for the low cost type of testing.
---------------------
There was a name variation. Plonkey, earlier, was sometimes Plauqué or Plantier depending on the priest's spelling.
Rose (Rosanna Alphonsine Plonkey/Plantier/Plauqué, etc) was the daughter of François Xavier and Philomène Demers born 14 Jan 1892 Dover Twp, Kent, Ontario

The below listings give a substantial amount of pedigree information for you to dig through and verify.

Thank you so much for all this information. I've been pouring over it all night and I finally had to put it aside to get some house work done. LOL :) Glad to find out that we are distant relatives. May I ask where you live and your relationship to me? If I can provide you with any information that you may need from my mother's side please let me know.
