I am looking for info about my family. My grandfather and his siblings were born and raised in Kenora,Ontario. Some cousins were there as well.Looking for info on JOHN and ALEXANDER Cameron(brothers)who married MARGARET and JESSIE Hughs(sisters).JOHN and MARGARET'S children:EDWIN,JOHN,DONALD,MARJORY,ROBERT,MARGARET. ALEXANDER andJESSIES children:MAY,ARCHIE,"SANDY"(Alexander),STEWART,MARGARET .We believe that the brothers may have come from Cornwall and they had another brother named ADAM as well as a sister named CATHERINE("Cassie").I have some dates all ranging from approx.1860's to 1940's.I am especially interested in ANY info on EDWIN(Eddie)Cameron. He was my grandfathers brother and disappeared around 1931.He left behind a wife and 2 children(sadly-all thier names unknown).Eddie was in WWI(shell-shocked) and born in 1898(still a young man when he disappeared,I wonder if he left any other long lost relatives for me to find???).Does this sound familiar to anyone??Please help!!!

Stacy, It would be easier if I could send the info right to you. I am not sure this is your Eddie as the birthdate is not right but everything else is, including the fathers name. Write to my email address. You have to click on a few things to find it. joanne

No Joanne,I did not look him up. I am so new at both the computer and researching my family tree that I am still on step one!I have recieved conflicting info about Eddie within my family, however. Many family members insist that Eddie did NOT marry, and I am not sure which story to believe or follow(as no living relatives really knew him personally).Right now I have gathered as many names and dates as possible, and I have an audio tape of my grandfather telling all the old stories about these people and Kenora. He hardly spoke of Eddie, and so he remains our family's mystery man!Do you have a birthdate for your Eddie? Our Eddie was born in 1898.Thank you for your response--Stacey p.s.Where would I begin my search for these papers?

Looking for any information on Edwin or Edward Noble Cameron who was born in Kenora in 1898. He was the son of John Cameron and Margaret Hughes. He married Nellie Brinkman from Rainy River in 1919. Eddie seemingly disappeared after returning from World War I. Also does anybody have any knowledge of how the numerous Camerons who are buried in Lake Of The Woods Cemetery there are connected? The Cameron who is buried in between my great, great grandparents, John Cameron and Ann Link is supposedly a cousin, but I don't know how or where the families connect.
