Any chance that your Lozon surname could have been spelled Lauzon. My Kearney family came from eastern Ont. and Que. in the 1880's to Rat Portage and later went by steamship across Lake of the Woods and up the Rainy River. They settled in what is now Sleeman, Ont.
Pinewood, Ont. is only six miles east of Sleeman, on the Rainy River, and there you will find Lauzon's. The records of the Pinewood Roman Catholic church are available on microfilm. There might be a connection for you??
