Re: response to Muggaberg query
Does any one have McKay's that have parents of Jane Gray and William McKay from dornoch, Sutherland, Scoltland. Jane and William were married November 12, 1829. Their children were, Margaret born 1828, Robert born 1830, Barbara born 1831, Lilias born 1832, Alexandria born 1834, Andrew C Mckay born 1834(he later married Mary Jane Walt and had a son Warren supposedly born in Kenora around 1870, any info on him would be appreciated), John born in 1838, and Georgina Fraser and she was born in 1842, all born in Dornoch and as far as I know, all came to Ontario and the UP of Michigan. Andrew and Mary Jane are found in the 1871 Algoma, Sault Ste. Marie census but I can't find their kids birh records. Their children were Sarah, Lexie, Warren, Lil, Margaret. Like I said, Warren was said to be born in Kenora, and Margaret in Sarnia, Lambton County.

Re: MUGGABERG Family of Kenora,Ont
I am researching my husband's family for him and I have found that we are most definitely related. James and Jemima Begg(s) are his great grandparents. And on the weekend we were in Kenora and the family there were filling in some blanks for us and they mentioned the twins Kelvin and Keith. They were Ernest's boys. Ernest is Ada's brother who is my husbands grandmother. Would love to hear from you

Re: response to Muggaberg query
I know it has been a long time since you posted to this list so I hope you are still searching this part of the family. I am researching my husband's family for him.
I am just wondering which Begg your grandmother married. Because Jemima married James Rutherford Begg. Their first child was Hattie Begg and attending at the birth was a Mary Begg and no one in the family knows who that is. My husband would be related to you through the Muggaberg family as Jemima is his great grandmother. But possibly you are also related through the Begg side of the family.
I look forward to hearing from you
