My grandmother, Jeanne Stone (daughter of Will and Rose Stone), grew up in Hensall, Ontario between 1910-1930. I'm trying to put together her story, including her interactions with other individuals and families in the town. I have all kinds of stories that she told me about various individuals (and lots of pictures), but would love other perspectives of growing up in the town and of the other people and families that lived there at the time.

Thanks in advance!

Important to enter surnames of interest on the subject line - may help connect with family connections - or just memories
Newspaper articles - from the time frame - for the location - can be very interesting - and helpful - Town Archive - Public Library etc - can lead to information
City Directories ; eg Hendersons Criss Cross Directories - may show names - addresses -occupations - of persons your Grandmother Jeanne STONE may have mentioned. in her stories to you
School Yearbooks - may still be available - they can be much fun. & Interesting

Surnames: Consitt, McKay, Hemphill, Shaddick
Thanks for the suggestions. But I'm not so much looking for memories of my grandmother, as stories that other people may have written down from their parents, grandparents, etc. I have stories from my grandmother about many other families (like her teacher, Miss. Annie Consitt, and her principle, Mr. William McKay, her boss at the town drugstore, Mr. Hemphill, her best friends family - the widower Mr. Thomas Shaddick and his children, William, Richard, and Elva - I'm wondering if anyone else out there might have stories from people who lived in Hensall between 1910 and 1930 - stories that, if collected, might give us a better idea of what life was like in this little town, from the perspective of our ancestors. Papers and records only give a certain view - I'm looking for different view - one that doesn't always make it into the newspapers and record books.
