Hi Allen,
Hopefully you still have the same e-mail address.
My Beamish supposedly came from Co. Cork,Ire.
His name was William Beamish married to Ann Ritchey/Ritchie. They were married ca.1840-1844 and settled in the Opps tsp, Victoria Cty;Ont. more then likely before 1842. They then moved to Dysart tsp,North Peterborough Cty;Ont between 1861 and 1871. Perhaps you can help me with this line.Another legend is that they were from Tio and Bros,Belfast,Ire?? not exactly where Cork is!
Any help would be much appreciated.
Diana

I have two records of Beamish people born in "Ops Township, Victoria County": they are Thomas Beamish (b.1839/12/27) and Ann Beamish (b. 1841/4/6); their parents were Richard Thomas Beamish (born 10 Sep 1807 in Cork City, Ireland; died 27 July 1902 in Hamiota, MB) and Mary Ann Reynolds (born 10 Sep 1819 in Tipperary, Ireland; died 27 Oct 1907 in Hamiota, MB).

I actually received this part of the family tree from Dave Pickering, who knows much more about it than I do - so perhaps you would like to get in touch with him for more recent information. His email address is: dpickering@focalpoint.net

Let me know if you manage to link up with the above.

Hi Andrew,
Sorry for the delay in replying to my query. I had a very very bad leg fracture on Oct 18/01 and have not been able to access my computer until now(having to keep my leg straight etc.)Not condusive to using a computer unless it's a laptop. Anyway this sounds like my family and am very happy to get this information. However that said could you possibly cite the source you used for the dates mentioned. This is very important ie verification of documents.
Thanks again,
Diana Russell

Surnames: Beamish, Holden, Fraser,
Hi,

My ggg grandmother was Anna Sara Beamish (Beaumis.) born in late 1700's or early 1800's.
She married Francis Smollet Holden (aka Francis H. Holden.)

They resided in New Ross Ireland and possibly, Dublin.

I have the dates, places of birth and line of their descendants from late 1700's up until today, but need ancestry before these dates.

Please contact me should you be able to exchange some information and I'll be happy to provide you with my lineage.

Eve:

Very sorry, I have no Anna Sara Beamish, and no Holdens at all. I'd be grateful for all you know about Anna Sara, so I can add her to my formidably large file of "so far unconnected Beamishes"!

Many thanks, Andrew
