I'm looking for information on the death of James Doonan and his wife Prudence. James was born about 1796 in Ireland, while Prudence was born about 1811 in Ireland. They appeared on the 1861 and 1871 censuses for Hungerford Township, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Since James was 75 in 1871 and Prudence was 60 in 1871, it seems reasonable that they would have died before the 1881 census which would explain why I can't find them in that. Their religion was Church of England.
I am not entirely sure of exactly when James and Prudence got married or when hey immigrated from Ireland to Canada.
James and Prudence had children all born in Canada - John in 1834, William in 1837, James in 1839, Armour in 1842, David in 1845, Edward in 1846, Alexander in 1851, Johnston in 1849 and Sarah Ann in 1851. I also cannot find any information on David and Johnston after the 1861 census.
