Lemon b.09/05/1884 d.05/05/1952. He was born in Madoc, Ontario and passed in Chaumont, NY at 68 yrs. of age. On 12/25/1907 he married Flossie Silver and they had 3 children....Edith, Duane,Jr., and Richard....no birth dates on the children. he was approx. 18 yrs of age when he came to US and his parents are Angus and Delia Parfit Lemon. No dates on them either. He had a sister name of Edith and she married Emmett LaLonde for which also there are no dates and no clure if she lives..but she resided in Toronto...there was also a half sister and all I have there is Mrs. John Brown. I am grasping at straws and trying to find information on my grandmother's mother. Her name was Sarah Wilhelmina (not sure the spelling) Elizabeth Virginia Lemon. She married George Edward Thompson of Starksville, Mississippi, and the had the following children: Prince Edward Thompson; Cora Thompson; George Rector Thompson; Georgia May Thompson and Charles Henry Thompson (twins); and my grandmother, Nellie Viola Thompson (the baby of the family) born April 29, 1895, in Starksville, Mississippi. The family Bible says that Sarah was either Irish or English. Please let me know if you have any information on her. Thanks Treva tnk126@yahoo.com

My grandfather's mother was Annie Lemon of which we can find no records, so hopefully you are our link. She married Robert Fraser who was a railroad supervisor and her hometown was Madoc (or close by) The family resided in Madoc. Robert was from Scotland, to where he returned in 1896 with two of the girls, Christina & Catherine. The others remained in Canada.

I have another post on this thread regarding Annie Lemon, but Sargent's also tie in. The were cousins to Annie. My Grandfather Donald Fraser, left Madoc about 1880 and came west with the railroad construction, eventually settling in Louis Creek BC area. Just down from his farm, were cousin's who also settled farms, namely Donald Lemon, and a family of Sargent's. The had all come from Madoc, and were all definitely blood relatives through Donald's mother Annie Lemon. Actually, now that I think of it, there were also Conley's. The area they chose to settle was about 40 miles up the North Thompson River from Kamloops, in an area called Squam Bay, about 16 miles from Louis Creek out in the bush. They were hardy folks believe me.
