Let me look into this for a few days. I don't have any John Fenton Cronkwrite's listed in my tree yet but I haven't finished tracing all the descendants of Abraham Krankheyt and Maritje Carrol yet. Abraham and Mary moved to Canada sometime between 1792 and 1796 from Montgomery, NY, (near Schenectady).

I've looked at descendants of Abraham and Mary named John who were born around 1832 and they were all born in the Hastings or Lennox County areas of Ontario.

Please contact me directly to share info on the descendants of Abraham and Mary. I have lots of info, as my dad and I have been doing such research for 30 years. Maybe we can each fill in the gaps. I am interested in anyone who can find the ancestry of Abraham and Maritje.

Surnames: Cronkwright / Anderson
Hello. This may be weird but I just recently found out that Henry William Cronkwright's son, Kenneth Andrew Cronkwright, was married to my birth mother, Mary Eileen Anderson. They were separated at the time of my birth. I was adopted and have only last week received my birth records. It shows she lived in Merritton, ON. It also showed she had 2 children prior to me. I have been searching everywhere to find out why/how she died in 1966 ( at the age of 37) and if my two half siblings are still around and who they might be. I don't want to rock any boats, so would never contact anyone unless they wanted me to, but I'd be very interested if you have any info you could give to me on either my birth mother or Kenneth's two children. You may contact me directly at: carolandchris@xplornet.ca Thank you. Carol M.

Hello,

I am researching John Fenton Cronkwrite for a family member and found a possible connection to other Cronkhites ... I was looking among all the various families for a "Leonard" (one of John F's sons) and a connection to "Fenton". Found a "Lenard Cronkhite" who had at least one son ... the US census shows him having far more family members than I can account for by name. I also found a possible connection, but I suspect far too insignificant to account for John's and his son Daniel's middle name being Fenton. Interested in collaborating?

The tree is public.
