I'm interested in the descendants of Jacobus Cronkrite, particularly the Cronk lines, but also the Cronkites and Cronkrights. I would very much like to see any material you have on the family, and would of course share mine if it was of interest

Hi!
I don't know if this helps but my ggrandfather was Wellington David (from Ontario) (family was probably Empire Loyalists from the U.S.) who moved to Manitoba where he married Emma Boucher (parents Balzamine Falcon L'eperance Boucher and Isadore Boucher. My grandfather was Samuel Edwin Cronk and I believe that some of his siblings were Fredrick, Arthur, and Clarence. Unfortunately Emma and Wellington died during the depression and the children were scattered. My grandfather moved to B.C. I have a lot of information on the Falcon family but very little on the Cronk family, except for a few scattered names. I hope this info might help. Let me know if it is relevant.

Our family tree has traced us back to John Ryder & Elizabeth Cronk as our GGG-Grandparents. Through their son Henry (and Hattie Clark), through their son James Alexander Ryder (and Jean Watt), through their son James Alfred Ryder (and Ethel Rodman), through their son Maxwell Clayton Ryder (and Elsie Akiko Maye), and here I am. You can contact me through philionc@telus.net and I will be more than happy to share with you what I have. I am trying to establish links to the people believed to be John's parents and grandparents on in the paternal line.
Kindest Regards, Christine.

I don't know if you can help me or not but I am looking for info on a Sarah Cronk born around Hastings County or Northumberland Co Ontario abt 1820. She married a Christopher Phillips. They had a daughter Samantha born in 1838. I have reason to believe she had a brother named John Cronk. Samantha married Hezekiah Dingman also from that area about 1857 or 1858. I do know their first child Elizabeth was born in 1859. They are listed on the Ebizar Twp. (spelling?) in 1861. I do have a letter that states Samantha was a niece of John Cronk. Do you have any info on this family? Or on a John Cronk who was associated with the Dingman family around that area?
