Attempting to find the parents of Alexander Foster, b. Feb28 1836 in Wolford Grenville, ON. Married Dec 4 1867 to Rachel Soanes and d. Nov 2 1906 in Dungannon Hastings Cty. He was a Shoemaker and farmer by trade and operated a shoemaker shop in Madoc. Acording to OMR his parents were John and Rebecca Foster.

I believe that his parents were likely John B. Foster (b. 1808 Armagh IRL) and Rebecca Clarke. These Fosters were from Drummond Twp Lanark Cty , so how does Wolford Grenville fit in.

There was another Alexander Foster settled in Detlor who was a grandson of John Foster and Catherine Trotter, who I expect was a first cousin on my Alexander Foster. That is completely speculation on my part however.
