Hello! My name is Carrie Davis Todd. I am a descendant of Nye Davis, son of Asahel(sometimes spelled Ashael) thru Nye's son William, his son Arthur to his son Edwin to my father Jeffrey.
The Davis family stayed in Upper Canada sometimes traveling here to Penn Yan til 1900 when we settled in Gorham, Ontario county,NY.
I have found that Ashaels father was Simon Davis III born in 1759 in Chesterfield,NH. Simon had for sons Roswell, Asher, Lyman and Ashael. He settled in Canada around 1799- 1800. Simons parents was Captain Simon Davis Jr of Littleton,MA and Mary Powers.
