I found the following:
Clayton McDuffee
gmcduffee@cogeco.caNeal & Sarah McDuffe with family arrived in Trafalgar Township in 1820/21 from New Jersey. The family settled initially in the hamlet of Drumquin.
The family from eldest to youngest:
A Anna McDuffe married a Conrad Phillips in 1818 in New Jersey bringing a daughter with them to their new home in Drumquin. The daughter Sarah Anne was the first of nine children. Anna, Conrad and family moved to Grand Rapids Michigan in 1842.
B. Peter McDuffe born in 1797 married a Margaret (surname unknown) in 1822/23 bearing a child Charles Mcduffe who later resided in Sheridan marrying a Mary Alton. Margaret died in 1825 and Peter remarried in 1826 to Jemima Kaitting with a daughter Sarah Elizabeh being born in 1828. Unfortunately Peter died in 1828. Jemima (Kaitting) McDuffee remarried a James Applebe in 1831.
C. Mary McDuffe married an Ezekial Smith of Grimsby in 1823 having five children. Mary died in 1875.
D. Phoebe McDuffe died as an infant in New Jersey.
E. Sarah McDuffe died at nineteen in 1827.
F. Daniel McDuffe born 1812 married a Rachel Snider of Cooksville C1840. They had seven chldren-one of whom was my grandfather James Applebe McDuffe. Daniel died in 1900.
G. Adra Ann McDuffee married William Irvine in 1835 having nine children. Adra ann died in 1850 in Lincoln County.
Most of the McDuffe's are buried at Munn's Cemetery Trafalgar Township.
