Fairview Cemetery - Acton
Does anyone have a contact number for the above cemetery? I want to go and see if I can find the gravestone for a great aunt. I'm not sure how big this cemetery is, but I wanted to contact the office to see if they could point me in the direction of her grave.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fairview Cemetery - Acton
It's a bit of a walk, but I did the whole cemetery in about 3 hours, row by row. The cemetery in Georgtown is the one to contact, both cemetery records are there. Sorry I don't remember the nameof this cemetery. What is the name you are looking for, I have taken many pictures of stones in this cemetery. here are a few of the names. Allan/Allen, Bell, Campbell, Crewson, Lasby, McArthur, McIntyre, McMillian, McTavish,.........

Re: Fairview Cemetery - Acton
I read your post and am wondering if you have any information on the Taylor's buried there. My gg grandparents........Henry Taylor and wife Grace Their children William Taylor b. 27 Mar 1851 Ireland m. Eliza Nesbit b. 17 May 1857 Canada Elizabeth Taylor b. 1854 Ireland (according to census) Mary Taylor b. 4 Jan 1855 Ireland m. Isaiah Halladay b. 1851 Grace Taylor b. 1858 Ireland m. William Pitt b. 1862 Scotland Catherine Taylor b. 4 June 1862 Ireland m. George Cook b. 18 Jan 1859 in Equesing Abigail Taylor b. 1863 Ireland d. 1897-1901 Equesing m. Richard Kickley b.11 Dec 1844 Ireland John Henry Taylor b. 28 Sept 1867 Narval Equesing d. 1839 Brandon, Manitoba m. Annie Meredith b. 2 Marh 1895 Equesing d. 1940, Brandon, Manitoba
All marriages were in Equesing. My Grandmother and other children of John Henry and Annie were in Limehouse. The families were Limehouse, Acton, Georgetown.
My own mother is the granddaughter of John Henry and Annie and I have been trying to put her family (they were very estranged couple and so no records were passed down). At 91 years my mother is finally managing to find some history thanks to internet.
I have an email friend who leaves for Ireland June 15th and I was hoping that one of the gravestones would say something other than Ireland. Any chance you might have some information? Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Fairview Cemetery - Acton
I am heading up to Acton today to see if I can find the Van Fleets. I will keep an eye out for any Taylors I come across and will take pictures of those gravestones for you.

Re: Fairview Cemetery - Acton
That would be wonderful! In the event you can't take pictures, any information would be very much appreciated as we are in British Columbia and my mother would not be able to travel to see anything there. Thank you again for the kind offer. gmt.bc@shaw.ca
