Looking for any information about Peter ADAMSON and his daughter Isabella, her husband Charles MITCHELL and their family. Peter owned much land in Norval and had a mill there, probably a sawmill. Charles ran the mill for him for several years, and lived there in a house which was still standing a few years ago. Peter lived in Erindale. I believe Peter was responsible for building the Anglican Church in Norval also (St. Paul's?). I am an ADAMSON descendant, and the current family historian. I am looking for the burial location of Isabella and Charles MITCHELL, wondering if there is a cemetery behind the Anglican Church and they might be buried there. I would also like to make contact with any of their descendants in order to update family information. Finally, are there any historical publications about Norval? If there are, I would greatly appreciate learning the names of the books, their authors & publishing details. Thank you. Mary Wilkinson

Hi, Mary Here's a link to the esquesing Historical Society. There is a book published about Norval called "Norval ont eh Credit". I suspect that if you contact the Society, that they will direct and assist you in your search. Good luck!

Thank you for this information. Could you please tell me the source, as I would like to read the entire article if possible. Also, is there any mention of Peter having built the Anglican Church in Norval? Once again, many thanks, Mary
