Thomas LIND and Marietta HUNSBERGER had a son, James LIND, born 23 June 1885. He married Ethel Mary BRUCE between 1906 and 1911. James and Ethel LIND show up in the 1911 Census in Red Deer ED, Alberta. They appear in the 1916 Census in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, with a son, Wilfrid James age 4. They had a daughter, Doris Ida LIND, born on 16 June 1916 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, just 2 weeks after the 1916 Census was taken. The 1921 Census shows they relocated to Lynn Creek Village, Vancouver District, BC where James LIND was employed in a cigar store (no indication if he owned the store or was an employee). The 1940 Voters List shows James and Ethel subsequently moved to Sperling, Langley township, BC and Lennard LOBB (my father) was living with them.
James and Ethel's son, Wilfred James LIND, died of acute mania (bipolar disorder) on 12 June 1935 in Langley, BC. James and Ethel LIND's daughter, Doris Ida LIND, died of acute lymphatic leukaemia on 28 July 1939 in Royal Columbia Hospital, New Westminster, BC. She and my Dad were expected to marry; her death was devastating to my father.
