Re: Haliburton Newspapers
I'm familiar with that site but I was unable to find a place where it mentioned what newspapers where published in the county or Village of Haliburton. Maybe you have to be a subscriber and pay the $25 fee to find that info??? Dan

Re: Haliburton Newspapers
Thanks for the suggestions. I did try the Haliburton library and they sent my request on to the Minton Geneology Society, so I'm hoping they can help.
What I am trying to find is any mention of a marriage between Eliza Levinia Thompson b. 1867 and Hugh John McMillan b. 1864. They were g-g-grandparents. Eliza's parents were Richard Thompson and Martha Rodgers. They lived west of Haliburton until sometime in the later 1880's when they moved ot Indian Head Saskatchewan. Hugh McMillan was from the Hawkesbury. area of Ontario. His parents were John McMillan and Mary Ann White. Eliza and Hugh's first child (unless one died at birth) was born Mar 1886-7 in Montreal near Hawkesbury.
