St. Stephen's Catholic Church Cemetery, Cayuga: transcription info requested

Surnames: Frank, McGuire, Ward
I have recently found proof from the Interment Book of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Cayuga (found online at FamilySearch) that James Alexander Frank is buried in the St. Stephen's Church cemetery.

James was born circa 1860 and died on June 29, 1894.

James, a sawyer by trade, was killed in a boiler/steam engine explosion that probably took place at his sawmill in Seneca Twp. He was 33 years old at the time and married to my grandmother, Elizabeth Isabella McGuire "Bella". Bella was 3 and 1/2 months pregnant at the time. She would eventually remarry to my grandfather, Jedediah Moses Ward.

The only information that I don't have now about James is the location of his grave in the cemetery and the stone inscription if there is a stone.

I am hoping that some kind soul with a transcription for the St. Stephen's Church cemetery will help me by providing this information.

Thanks,

Sharon
Welland, Ontario

Hi, If the Cemetery is still in operation - Have you considered contacting the Cemetery Office - They will have records of All burials there - perhaps including family members
re: James Alexander FRANK 1860 - 1894
They will know - name - age - date and place of death / burial
section/ Plot/ grave - etc
They will know the name of the Funeral Home/ Undertaker in charge. Whether or not there had been a stone placed at the grave.

No, I still don't have the grave location and/or the stone inscription. After the untimely death of her husband my grandmother went back to her parents' home in Welland to await the birth of her baby. It is very probable that she never got back to Haldimand to arrange for a stone. and perhaps didn't have the funds to do so.

Thanks for your kind offer.

Also, the cemetery is very small, so I can look without the plot location.
Of course if there is no stone I will not see anything.

I wanted to let you know that I did not locate any gravestone for anyone named Frank when I visited Dec 16th.
But you can contact the church at:

Thank you for your kind effort in this matter. It is much appreciated.

I'll pass on your information to my cousin, James' grandson, and leave it up to him whether or not he wishes to proceed further.
