Hi Rick!
We are definitely cousins! Since this post I've connected with a worldwide group of more distant cousins actively researching
our Burr ancestors who all originated from Fyvie, Aberdeen, and found out more about our Canadian branches. Would love to share. Contact me at carencam@shaw.ca.

I was wondering if your Burrs in Ontario Canada are related to my Burr line. My father Robert Graton Burr (b.1927,Ferdig Montana) was the child of Robert Lewin/Lewis Burr (b.1878,Kent Co. Ontario) and Margaret McGowan (b.1882,Meeker Co.Minnesota).Prior to that marriage, Robert Lewin/Lewis Burr was married to Mabel Achsa Wheaton and had a dughter Clarice Nancy Burr(b.1905, in North Dakota). Please let me know if any of this relates to your line of Burrs.

Hello cousin Rick,
How are you? My regards to your Mom...I thought I would bump into you sooner than this after a conversation with Gordon who said that you were researching the family tree over the internet. It's an interesting process...a detective bumping around in the great dark ethernet of history to find pieces of puzzles that are people who were as we are now...OR something like that...
How much info do you have on ggf Henry Carson & ggm Agnes Kilpatrick...they have been the most elusive for me because I didn't know until recently that Henry was born in PEI circa 1864.
Anyway I''ll sign off before this message disappears from my screen as my computer has a habit of defaulting before I finish typing...good to bump into you...I will try again and we can compare findings...JC

Hello Jim,
Thanks for the contact, hope you are well and enjoying your winter weather ... I was stuck last week in Toronto airport for a few hours - at the start of the Wed. storm, however escaped back to Calgary. It is a balmy -19 C tonight and I am enjoying a rare few days off from work.

It has been a while since I have had my dectictives hat on, but I have certainly enjoyed some of the research activities, contacts and information leads while searching the Burr side of the family. I will try and put a few notes together re: James Burr & Anne and James Foote Burr & Jessie for reference & perhaps interest.

I do not have much info on the Carson side of the family.

Best Regards
Rick

Hello all ~ I'm quite sure my Burr line is in here - Aberdeenshire to Owen Sound - and for my direct Burr line - to Michigan.

I am the great great granddaughter of Robert Burr
Birth 29 Mar 1857 in Knockenbaird, Insch, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Death 6 Sep 1951 in Lansing, Ingham, Michigan, United States

I see some of these other names come up in my research, so I'm quite sure the connection is there. If my line is helpful to anyone for further information, feel free to contact me!
Jen
