In the Flesherton Cemetery there is a Francis G Hamilton who died May 5 1879 at 65 yrs .. native of Balleu, James Duff, Co. Cavan Ireland. In the 1871 Census to shows that Francis was a farmer and his two daughters Frances M and Matilda C Hamilton were teachers. Alexander is a labourer. Census shows that they are Wesleyen Methodist.

I don't know if there is a connection. The Ginty name is not that common. My Ginty family came from County Cavan, Ireland. I have this Ginty that is referred in the query and also my great-great-grandmother was Ellen Ginty of Ireland. Where did your Ginty come from?

Surnames: Carroll McKilty Ginty
Actually, I am not sure about the Ginty I am after. I am guessing Ireland as the son is stated to be Irish and Catholic on a census. I am testing a possible connect between Robert Carroll (whose parents are listed as Wm Carroll and Helen Ginty on a marriage to Abigail Scarth in Sarnia) to a Catherine Carroll whose parents are Wm Carroll and Ellen McKilty. I thought that the Ginty was a mispelling of McKilty until I saw your posting. Now that I know there were Gintys about S. Ontario I am doubting that Robert and Catherine are siblings. I will check back here and see if you get anything that will be of use to me. Thanks for your reply.
