I am looking for any information on Andrew Warner who died 1849 1850 and lived in Maitland, Ont. he left wife Susan and two children Mary or Margaret who married a Dishaw and they lived in Morrisburg, Ont. and Francis Warner born same time period as Andrews death. his sister Mary was born abt 1848. The family you listed lived near me. Their log cabin was on a neighbour's farm and he had an old parchment land grant to a Poole, probably Benjamin. In fact I think one of his ancestors married one of the sons listed in that 1851 census and that is how he inherited the farm. It was 20 years ago that I saw it, no telling if it still exists.

The deed still exists. It is to Benjamin Poole and dated 1836. There are no buildings left. The location is in Leeds County Ontario, NE of Gananoque, about 20 miles north of the international bridge at the top of US Route 81. The land abstract shows an Abel Poole (brother?) got a grant of 50 acres adjacent to Benjamin in 1840. The 2 pieces of land eventually belonged to Benjamin's son Milton who sold them in 1873, when the Pooles seem to have left the area.

Chris - I think I sent Phylis Poole a copy of it a year or 2 ago. See if she can copy it for you. If not, I will have to borrow it again to get copied.

The only WARNER I have in this tree is "Torzy' or 'Tarzy" WARNER.
Married to Benjamion Jacob Poole around 1835.
In 1851 Same Benjamin shows on census with Clarrissa Poole as his wife.
I don't know if Clarrissa and "Torzy" are one and the same.
The census info puts Clarrissa's birth about 1801, probably in Leeds County, Ontario.
If you have any info on WARNER's that may be connected I would love to hear about it.

Any connection to James Poole b.1843 son of Robert b.1795?
Robert married Jane Lightbody. Robert had brother Jacob and sister Charlotte. Family from Ireland founded Pooles Resort
near International Bridge.
James moved across the River and remained on Grenadier Island. James married Louise Senecal b.1850.
Louise Senecal's family also ties into the Stowell name.
Anna Stowell married one of Louise Senecal's nephews.
