Would anyone know where Helen Burridge born Rocksprings (1905) and married in Addison, Ont. (1924) would have gone to school in 1921 (age 16). Are there any class lists available for the schools in the area for 1921. Thanks

Do you know which school the kids living in Elizabethtown would have gone to? Are there any class lists or year books for 1921 in the local library?

Probably it would be The Rocksprings Public School. I know it was open in 1909 because I have the Roll Call for that year but unfortunately not the one for 1921.

Any idea what the ages of the children would have been at the Rocksprings Public School. Helen was 15 turning 16 in April 1921. Would there have been a high school? Would the local archives have the Roll Calls for the 1920-1921 year.

I have no idea of their ages. This is all in a scrap Book and it looks as though someone has used it for colouring on. There was a High School in Athens and one in Brockville but the traveling involved would have been difficult I would imagine.

Thanks for the newspaper clip. Lots of familiar names from neighbours on the 1911 and 1921 census.

I believe that you can rule out Athen's High School as I have a copy of the Alumni Directory from 1860 to 1921 & she is not listed there. I suppose that she could have gone there after 1921. Students from outside Athens often rode on the old B. & W. (Brockville & Westport) train to attend school there.
