Catherine Stenson born 1850 in Ireland. 1911 census states that she arrived to Canada in 1851. Catherine married James Taylor in Chambly Quebec in 1865. The moved to Brockville, Catherine passing away there in 1942.

Family stories tell us that she had a brother John who was a musician in the military. I've found a death certificate for a John Stenson stating such. Also stating that his arrival to Canada was around 1851 and to Ontario around 1860. John living in Brockville with wife Elizabeth Ford and family. Death certificate states that his parents were Edward Stenson and Catherine Coleman (?? Last name difficult to read).

I've found a death registration with the church for Catherine Coleman in 1852. Family stories tell us that Catherine Stenson's mother passed away shortly after their arrival to Quebec.
