Having just joined, I'm behind in the Johnston info, and I know that there are a lot of them. I have a John J. Johnston, s/o William Johnston and Mary McCollough, born about 1832, probabaly in Ontario, but possibly in Scotland. On 12/5/1859 he married Sarah McConnell, who was born 5/11/1833 in Scotland. She was living in Athens then, but the couple wed in Brockville at the home of her uncle John Anderson. They then moved across the border to Brownville, where they became proprietors of the Brownville Hotel. I would love to hear from anyone with information about these Johnstons.
