I am trying to discover where James was born. He married Eliza Lamoreaux around 1835 in Butler, Wayne County, New York. Their first child, Olive, was born in 1836 and their second child, Andrew was born in 1838 both in Butler. Census records state that both he and his parents were born in Canada. Albert Pearson born in Maitland in 1828 married Eliza's sister, Mary around 1850. Since the sisters married Pearson men, I thought they could be brothers. Now, I am not sure as an IGI record has James being born in Butler. Pearson can also be spelled Piersons. The 1850 census for Butler, New York has Albert and Mary Piersons living with Mary's parents, John and Martha Lamoreaux.
