obit rec'd from researcher in Maryland. I don't know which newspaper it was taken from, but poss. Kingston Whig 1932.
Clarissa Wheeler was the d/o John B. Wheeler and Eunice Sliter She was married to John Dorman Middleton, s/o Lucas Middleton, Lyndhurst. (John Dorman has been written as Darwin but his desc. in Maryland says his name was Dawson.)
The daughter Mrs. Jones is Lucy Jane Middleton who mar. Geo. E. Jones of Bedford, s/o John & Sarah Dec. 24, 1878 Reg. No. 5333.
Mrs. Wheeler died in Verona 29 November 1932.

VERONA LADY WAS 100 YEARS OF AGE
Late Mrs. Clarissa Middleton was One of Pioneers of the District.
VERONA--The funeral of the late Mrs. Clarissa Middleton took place on Wednesday from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jones. Rev. Mr. Ralph of Perth Road conducted the service, which was held at the home, and internment took place at Oconto cemetery.
Mrs. Middleton was in her 100th year and had been exceptionally bright for her years, until several weeks ago she contracted a cold which resulted fatally. She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Jones of Verona, Mrs. Smith, and Mrs. Jackson of Brockton, Mass., and three sons, Schuyler of Verona, Albert of Sharbot Lake, and Henry in the United States.
Deceased was born at Phillipsville and had resided at Sharbot Lake and Verona, where a large number of friends and relatives mourn her loss.
