John A. Tye, a native of Leeds, died in St. Catharines on Tuesday, aged 35 years. He left here some years ago, and was well established in the insurance business in St. Catharines.
He was married to Miss M. Chant of Delta, who survives, with one son about eight years of age.
He also leaves one brother, Wm. Tye of Lyndhurst, and four sisters: Mrs. Ed Hall and Mrs. James Dyatt of Toronto; Mrs. Hugh McFadden and Mrs. Gordon Meggs, Gananoque.
The remains were brought here and the funeral held on Thursday afternoon from the residence of Gordon Meggs, to Gananoque Cemetery.
