I went through quite a few Leeds cemeteries yesterday, and several as far up as Perth, and noticed no end of Davisons in quite a few of them. In the Perth cemeteries too. Someone's earlier mention of Davison without the second "d" must have stuck in my head.

There's a grand Irish cemetery on highway 43, outside of Perth, some in there too I think.

I am so sorry, I realized I had put that (CT) as soon as I posted it. It was actually John Davidson, tow state they are from England and another from Scotland. Sorry for that error. They can both be found on the St.Lawrence Co. Web site, under Ann Cady's info

Hi Laura.
I am researching the Dakins family of Augusta. You mention in your post an Abigail Dakins. Do you know her family? Could she be the daughter or sister of William Dakins married Christianna Wickham who had a daughter Mary Ann Dakins.
Sorry I can't help you in your search but will keep an eye on this. I live in Brockville and search in the local cemetaries. If I find anything that might be useful I will send it along.
Any help you can give on the Dakins would be a big help.

Hi Bob
I actually have two Abigail Dakins.

First Abigail Dakins, b. abt 1794, married James Knight, thier daughter married Justus Davison. She may be related to William, sister or cousin.

Second Abigail Dakins b. abt 1828, daughter of William & Christianna Wickham Dakins, married John Davison.

Her sister, Sarah Elizabeth, b.abt 1812 married John Wylie, thier daughter, Pheobe, b. 1839 married Benona Davison.

Ben & Pheobe Davison are my GG Grandparents. Please email me directly

I am also interested in the Dakins family as I have several connections through Bishops and Bukers. I thought the Abigail Dakins that married James Knight was the daughter of William Dakins and Christianna Wickham. I have she was born abt 1814 or possibly 1819. I have the Abbie Dakin that married John Davison as born abt 1825/28, I am hoping, someone with more source information than I have can help me straighten this out.
I am related through Mary Ann Dakin who md. Abner Bishop, Phoebe Dakin who md. Taylor Buker son of Taylor Buker and Lucy Bishop, and Elisha Dakin who married Sarah or Sally Buker d/o Taylor Buker and Lucy Bishop. I would appreciate information anyone might have in sorting out the two Abigails.

Hi Paula,
The Abigail who married John Knight may be an Aunt or Cousin to the Abigail who married John Davison. If you would like to contact me directly, I could share some of the research I have and put you in touch with another of Mary Ann's descendants.
