Seek any documented information at all about a United Empire Loyalist named Johannes SNYDER and his wife, Marytje COOL or KOOL. This couple are said to have resided in Lancaster, Glengarry County, Ontario, Canada in 1785; what is the document that shows this? I have seen a list of their children, and I'd like to know what document names these children. I have been studying this family in Schodack, Rensselaer County, New York, USA, and I certainly would like to know if the list of children I have seen is definitely complete or not. So far I have found proof for only one of the children, and that is the daughter named Debora SNYDER; she was baptised at the Muitzeskill Dutch Reformed Church in Schodack. I am particularly interested in their reported daughter Maria SNYDER who married a Hendrick TURK. I have located this marriage; it took place at the Dutch Reformed Church of Kinderhook, in Columbia County, New York, USA. This marriage record states that the birthplace of the bride was Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. This marriage record does not, however, state who the parents of the bride were. I strongly suspect that the Maria SNYDER who married Hendrick TURK was a sister of a Sara SNYDER, born in the mid-1750s, who married Harmanus Hendricksen VAN BUREN. I have much more, but I also have many blanks to fill in, and would LOVE to hear from anyone studying this family in Canadian and/or UEL records. It is possible that I am a direct descendant of theirs. Fingers crossed that someone out there has studied them as closely as I have, but in other records that I haven't access to. Thank you!
