I'm looking for information on and descendants of the Johnstone and Johnston families of Crysler.

Ca. 1832 Robert "Red Robin" Johnston and his brother Archibald "Archie" Johnston came to Upper Canada and settled in Prescott Co. near Pendleton.

William Johnston (ca.1853-1897) married Sarah Johnstone ca. 1882. I believe that Sarah Johnstone's family was from the Crysler area. I have no information on her parents. Her older brother, Abe, married Susan Johnston, daughter of Archie Johnston.

I made contact recently with one of William's descendants who told me that William and others are buried in the old Anglican cemetery at Crysler. I would appreciate it very much if someone could confirm this for me.

Oral family history has the Johnstone family coming from Annan, Scotland. Johnston family member(s) may have been from the same town, but they went to Co. Tryone, Ireland, first before emigrating to Upper Canada.

I am interested in making contact with any Johnston(e) descendants and adding information to our family tree. I am particularly interested in any and all oral family history. My current data base has over 2,800 names.
