My KING Family roots go back to my grandfather (whom I never knew) Sheldon Louis Joseph King (born 1902/died 1961) and his wife Marie Blanch Bergeron (born 1912/still alive). My grandfather had other brothers, Carson, Joe, Harm, and a Hugh. There were sisters Vivian, Stella and Mabel. I assume these people would be passed on by now. Are there any ancestors or people that knew them still in this area? I am trying to follow my King family name back to learn my history. My grandparents registered my father at Charlottenburg township, Glengarry County in Dec, 1932. I don't know anymore, but look forward to getting any information that could help me piece this history together. I understand they were of French ancestory. They may have changed their name from ROI or L'ROI. My grandmother was Marie Blanch (Bergeron) King (father Joseph Bergeron / mother Corinne Cote). I do not know if she was raised around there or they just lived there for some years.
