Thanks Sarge for your reply. I appreciate your looking into the William Hogg family. I have previously found them in the 1871 and 1881 Census as well as an 1877 land record (W. Hogg) Wellington Co., Peel Twp. and an 1867 Wellington Co., Peel Twp. Directory/Gazetteer. I am trying to find William Hogg's parent's names and thought that I would try to find out about church records. What is confusing is that the 1861 and 1871 Census say Weslyan Methodist but the 1881 Census says Presbyterian. The family moved to U.S. (Iowa) sometime after the 1881 Census and Hogg became Hodge.
