And
Friday, January 21, 1825 Obit: "At St. Eustache, County of York, District of Montreal, Lower Canada, of a short illness, on Monday the 10th instant, Miss Lydia Burley, second daughter of Emerson and Amable Burley, aged 31 years, 9 months and 3 days---Her sickness, it is supposed, originated in too close attention to the duties of an arduous profession---that of instructing youth. She had been for the space of 6 years, in the practice of teaching, and for some time previous to her last sickness, had acted as the Superintendent of a Ladies School. Her mild, modest and gentle conduct had endeared her not only to the young ladies under her charge, but to all those with thom she was acquainted. She bore her sickness with the pious resignation of a Christian, and her loss will long deeply and severely felt by the community of which she was so useful and valuable a member."
