Where can I find a listing of Methodist Episcopal baptisms for 1837-1838 for Frontenac? There was a M.E. clergyman named Rev. John A. Rogers/Rodgers who was stationed in Loughborough, Frontenac in 1861. He was age 50 (b. 1811-12) at that time, wife's name was Ellen, age 36 (b. 1825). I am not able to locate them prior to 1861, but I am hoping he was in Frontenac in 1837-8. I am looking for anything on the life of Rev. John A. Rodgers prior to 1861 or possibly records of the baptisms of his own children in Frontenac, particularly Orin Day Rogers, b. 1837-1838. I'm not even sure if there Rev. J.A. Rodgers is the father of Orin Day Rogers as I've never found Orin Day Rogers' baptismal certificate. If I can place the two of them together on a baptismal certificate, it will helpe me break through this brick wall. Rev. John A. Rodgers/Rogers was born somewhere in the USA in 1811-12. The first place I find him is in Frontenac at age 50. In 1871 he and Ellen are in Leeds, Lansdowne Rear; in 1881 and 1891 they are in Ontario, Vicroria South, Lindsay; by 1901 I can no longer find them in any census so they must be deceased by then. Any information on him at all or where I can find his children's baptisms in Frontenac would be helpful.
