Hi Lora I may have typed in the address incorrectly it is a long one. Here it is again dangeloadvertising@sympatico.ca

Anyway thank you for your kind offer to lookup. I just spent my entire vacation in the Kingston library last week and didn't get to half of what I need to look at. SO your offer comes at the best time.

My LAWLESS family immigrated from County Wexford Ireland (wish I knew the town) to Kingston. Some floated out to the surrounding areas including Pittsburg Township, and Howe Island.

I am not certain of the year they arrived in the area. But have them in the city directories from 1855. (as that is where the directories begin).
Any BDM's would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards
Jamie

It may be that they cam in the 1840's. If you do come across chronicles later than 22 and 23, please do let me know.

I will take you up on your kind offer.

my g3 grandparents, William Escott Norman and Mercy (Smith) Babcock (the widow Babcock) got married on either 23 Jan 1819 or 1 March 1819 - both dates are listed in the marriage register of Rev. John McDowell. I am wondering if their marriage was published in the paper as they lived in Kingston at the time.

Also, their son, Robert Addison Norman (my 2g grandfather), was born 19 Apr 1820.

There is supposed to be another son William Escott Norman born but I have been unable to find a birth date for him. Presumably he was after Robert.

If you are willing to look up any of these I will be most grateful.
