Am looking for information on the family of Col. Alexander McKee who married a Shawnee woman and was a British Indian Affairs Agent in late 1700's. His son, Capt.Thomas McKee, married Theresa Askin, daughter of John Askin. Apparently, a daughter or granddaughter of Thomas's, named Mary McKee, married Arthur Rankin. They had at least 2 sons named George Rankin and Arthur McKee Rankin. Capt. Thomas Mckee had a great-grandson named William J. McKee who married Mary Baby eldest daughter of Charles Baby and great-granddaughter of Jacques Baby. I have a copy of Col. Alexander McKee's will, in which he mentions leaving everything to his son Thomas, but he also mentions a James Francis McKee and Catherine Mckee as children to be educated with monies he has left for them. Robert Surphlet is supposedly Alexander McKee's wife's nephew.
