Surnames: Beadle, Adams
Searching for ancestry of John Beadle, born in the Village of Orwell, Elgin County, in 1875. Parents are believed to be John Beadle and Agnes Adams.

He later moved to Michigan and no other information is known about his ancestors.

All help appreciated!

Wish I knew also. I've been searching for a few years as well. Agnes Adams and John Beadle are my 3rd 'great grandparents on my mothers side. I've head some Awesome stories about them but can't dig up any evidence. I've heard that Agnes was a lady in waiting for the queen of England but she ran away with the groundskeeper John Bedwell "Beadle". Great story but still no new info. My grandmother said she has been trying to contact her Beadle cousins in Caseville but no luck. Apparently after Agnes died, the family bible and other important paperwork was lost.

Agnes, daughter of James Adams of South Georgetown, yeoman, and his wife Euphemia Gilchrist, was born on the sixteenth day of June in the year of one thousand eight hundred and forty nine, and was baptized fifteenth day of July in the year written above in the presence of the subscribing witnesses.

Euphemia Gilchrist and James Adams were married 14 June 1842 Georgetown PQ. Presbyterian Church.
As they were both 'of age' their parents aren't given.

1901 census Chateauguay, James Adams, 80, b Scotland, immigrated 1840.
Living with son William.
Therefore he won't be on Scotland 1841 census and that is the earliest one available.

Death: Adams James, aged 87 years, Ormstown, Methodist, 1907. Burial: Valleyfield PQ.
